Meet Dr. Kendra Smedley Adey

Kendra Smedley Adey, DMD

Dr. Kendra grew up in West Chester where she graduated from Great Valley High School. She is very excited to have the opportunity to practice with her father and older brother back in her home town. Like her brother, Dr. Kendra aspired to become an orthodontist after spending many of her summers working as an assistant and in the lab of their father's orthodontic practice.

Dr. Kendra finds it very rewarding to be able to help patients of all ages achieve and maintain functional, beautiful smiles. To do this, she has received the education and training patients can feel confident in.

She majored in Biology at West Chester University and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2008 from Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry. She graduated summa cum laude from dental school and was inducted into the elite Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.

Dr. Kendra then went on to complete her orthodontic residency at Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry where she earned a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology.

She is active in the dental community and is a member of the following professional organizations:

• American Dental Association
• Pennsylvania Orthodontic Association
• Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists
• American Association of Orthodontists

Dr. Kendra met her husband, Dr. Brad Adey, while attending dental school. Dr. Brad also grew up locally and graduated from Garnet Valley High School. He currently practices general dentistry in Paoli and Glen Mills.
